A Safe Place to Stand

18 Weeks ~ 18 Stories ~ 18 Opportunities
June 3, 2020 ~ September 16, 2020

Life can only be understood backwards,
but it must be lived forwards.
~ Søren Kierkegaard

If you’re like me, you’re finding yourself anxious, worried, fearful and somewhat overwhelmed at this unprecedented time we’re living in.

We have found ourselves in a world we could not have envisioned just three months ago.  The entire planet is immersed in a new “normal” that is affecting everyone.

So many changes in such a short amount of time with no clear end in sight is enough to undo anyone.  And yet we must live it forward even if we don’t yet understand it (as Kierkegaard so perfectly stated).

I believe that in these uncertain times, we are all looking for a safe place to stand . . . a quiet refuge to find serenity, to gather tools for self-care and to discover ways to navigate our world in a meaningful, affirming way.

If this speaks to you, then I would love to have you join us for 18 weeks of self-discovery ensconced in a community of like-minded women.

My second memoir, A Safe Place to Stand (to be published in 2021), is my personal, deeply spiritual journey from 40 – 64 years old.  However, it is so much more than my journey because in so many ways, it is every woman’s journey.

Because each chapter has prompts for self-reflection and journaling, it offers an opportunity to use my experience to inform and inspire yours . . . to give you a safe place to stand so that you can find tools, inspiration, hope and the understanding that you are not alone on this journey.

When you register, you will receive the introduction and preface to the book and then each Wednesday for eighteen weeks, starting June 3, you will receive a new chapter (see below).  At the conclusion you will receive the epilogue, My Lessons Learned Along the Way, and a recommended reading list.

On September 23 we will connect on a Zoom call to share experiences, get questions answered and enjoy being in community.  We will also have a private Facebook page where you can share your stories and your responses to the prompts from each chapter.

For the duration of the program, I will be just a phone call or email away . . . available as a mentor to support and encourage you on this journey.

A Safe Place to Stand is a book about my journey
but these 18 weeks are all about yours!
