In the face of this real danger, it is particularly crucial to honor our feelings and to meet them with as much mindfulness, kindness and compassion as we can ~ for ourselves and for others.

As we are all aware, the world we live in has changed dramatically in the last few weeks and in the face of this, we believe it is crucial to meet these times ensconced in community and learn (or reinforce) some skills to quiet our mind and settle our anxiety so that we can find some peace, serenity and purpose in these unsettling times.

If this speaks to you, then we would love you to JOIN US for a unique opportunity . . . a free virtual three-hour retreat experience similar to our in-person retreats, creating community and a safe space for exploring, sharing, learning new skills and gaining insights so you can find solace, peace, joy, possibilities and even new friends in the midst of this difficult time . . . while in your comfy clothes, wrapped in a warm blanket and nestled in the comfort of your own home.

We hope you join us because WE BELIEVE that together we can help create a more kind and caring day, a more kind and caring month and year ahead, and ultimately a more kind and caring world.

April Ely has been a psychotherapist for 20 years, providing individual, Aprilfamily and group counseling for children and adults in schools, outpatient clinics, and domestic violence shelters. Her commitment to helping her clients lead full and healthy lives led her to the study of Mindfulness, a practice and way of living that helps individuals to live more fully present in their own lives. Wanting to learn about incorporating Mindfulness in her work with children, in 2011 April completed a teacher training course in “Mindfulness and Yoga for Children.” Since that time, she has created Mindfulness curirculums to be utilized in the schools to help empower children to calm their minds and open their hearts, as well as, incorporating those same powerful tools into her work with individuals and families within her private practice. April has staffed many Sedona Women’s Institute retreats and co-facilitated two retreats with her mother, Karen Ely, as well as, serving as a trainer and mentor for the Sedona Women’s Institute’s Facilitator Training Program since its 2016 inception. APRIL will share information and facilitate discussion and hands-on experiences on incorporating mindfulness & heartfulness into your life.
