Finding Strength, Direction and Serenity
When Navigating Through Difficult Times
Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the
believers and the thinkers, but most of all surround
yourself with those who see greatness within you,
even when you don’t see it yourself.
~ Edmund Lee
Oh so true!
And yet when we feel down in the dumps, overwhelmed or saddened by life, we often do just the opposite . . . we isolate and begin to run a self-defeating loop in our mind, “my life isn’t supposed to be this way!”
We’ve all been there at times.
However, there is a better way. We can learn to shut down the self-defeating voices in our minds and adopted new ones that open us up and lift us up. And over time, the tools can give us the strength, direction and serenity to face life’s problems in a more peaceful, meaningful way.
Facilitator, Karen Ely, understands how unsettling it is to be navigating through difficult times. She has been there often in her 73 years. And through her own experiences, deep faith and the knowledge that there are immense gifts nestled in these difficult times, she knows that life can be transformed in wondrous ways by moving through these experiences with calm awareness, using tools that quiet your mind and enliven your spirit.
Whether you are currently experiencing challenging times or want to learn skills for finding your way through these times in a new, more transformative manner, then this retreat is for you.
Karen invites you to join her for a day of radical discover where you will:
~ Learn that you are not alone.
~ Understand that difficult junctures contain life-enhancing gifts.
~ Recognize how expectations and attachments can lead to unhappiness.
~ Gain clarity and skills for navigating these transitions with calm and awareness.
~ Return home with a toolbox that will serve you today and throughout your life.
My happiness grows in direct proportion to my acceptance
and in inverse proportion to my expectations.
~ Michael J. Fox
