The Geography of Grace

Women’s Virtual Retreat with Allison DeHart
Six Sessions ~ Six Months
January ~ June 2021

There is an eternal landscape, a geography of the soul;
we search for its outlines all our lives.
– Josephine Hart

In this time of isolation, many of us find ourselves removed from contact with the natural world. Cut off from the land, we can lose our sense of place and grounding, our sense of home and belonging on this earth; likewise, our lives can become starved for what deeply animates us.

The Geography of Grace will lead you through a six-month exploration of the geography of the soul, the true essence of the work of Parker Palmer’s Center for Courage & Renewal. Each session is designed to provide you with an opportunity to consider different aspects of your inner and outer geography. The notion of grace and its many facets is woven throughout each session. Drawing on metaphors from landscapes, and also inviting exploration of the notion of grace, this six-session retreat offers a map and compass for a landscape that opens the journey to the brilliant vistas of your inner life.  Each session will provide a map for just one aspect of the landscape where explorers discover their own meaning, create their own pictures, and write their own travel log.
