We imagine that many of you are feeling uncertain, anxious, frightened and isolated by the current world crises.  In the face of this real danger, it is particularly crucial to honor your feelings and to meet them with as much mindfulness and kindness as you can.

And we believe that gathering with other like-minded women provides a wonderful antidote for these times.  So please join us . . .

Many of you have expressed an interest in being part of a woman’s virtual book club so we’re starting one this month!   If you love to read, love to talk about books, love to learn from books and transform through books, then you’ll want to join The Joy of Reading book club.

This book club is for any woman who loves the process of reading insightful books and and then being part of a vibrant, enlightening discussion with other passionate readers.

As we are all aware, the world we live in has changed dramatically in the last month and in the face of this, it’s crucial to meet these times ensconced in community and learning some skills to quiet your mind and settle your anxiety so that you can find peace, serenity and purpose in these unsettling times.

Join us for a free one-hour program on Mindfulness, Heartfulness . Meditation with April Ely.  You will have the opportunity to explore, share, experience and gain insights and skills that can help you to find solace, peace, joy and possibilities in the midst of this difficult time.

April Ely has been a psychotherapist for 20+ years, providing individual, family and group counseling for children and adults in schools, outpatient clinics, and domestic violence shelters. Her commitment to helping her clients lead full and healthy lives led her to the study of Mindfulness, a practice and way of living that helps individuals to live more fully present in their own lives.  Wanting to learn about incorporating Mindfulness in her work with children, in 2011 April completed a teacher training course in “Mindfulness and Yoga for Children.” Since that time, she has created Mindfulness curriculums to be utilized in the schools to help empower children to calm their minds and open their hearts, as well as, incorporating those same powerful tools into her work with individuals and families within her private practice. April has staffed many Sedona Women’s Institute retreats and co-facilitated two retreats with her mother, Karen Ely, as well as, serving as a trainer and mentor for the Sedona Women’s Institutes’ Facilitator Training Program since its 2016 inception.

Mindfulness . Heartfulness . Meditation will be offered on Sunday, April 26th from 11:00am – 1200pm PT.  The program is free, however, it will be limited to 10 women so please contact us asap at or 928-254-1897 to register.  And please make sure to note that you are interested in the Mindfulness .
